On March 7, 2025, Ms. Lin Ying, the wife of the Ambassador to Vanuatu, attended the Women's Day event "Unleashing Women's Power and Inheriting Chinese Culture" organized by the embassy. About 50 people, including the President of Vanuatu, Mrs. Vorobarawu, the Prime Minister, Mrs. Napat, the Speaker, Mrs. Felix, the Member of Parliament, Mary Milne, the Mayor of Port Vila, Jenny Reganwanu, and other women, participated.

Ms. Lin Ying stated in her speech that women have made tremendous contributions to world peace and human civilization. Traditional Chinese culture is full of praise for women, and the Chinese word for "good" is composed of "female" and "child".

After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the status of women has significantly improved, supporting half of the sky and promoting progress in women's rights worldwide. We hope that women from China and Vanuatu can work together to promote the women's cause of the two countries and the sustainable development of China Vanuatu friendship.

The short film of Chinese women's development achievements and the dance "Joy on the Branch" of the Spring Festival Gala were broadcast on site, and dance, music, calligraphy, Paper Cuttings, acupuncture and moxibustion, etc. were performed to show the charm of women and traditional culture.

The atmosphere of the event was harmonious and enthusiastic, with continuous applause. The guests actively interacted and highly praised it, looking forward to more opportunities to exchange and learn from the embassy in the future.
