Ambassador to Vanuatu Li Minggang Visits Pentecost Island

Ambassador Li Minggang was invited to visit Pentecost Island and attend the handover ceremony of the completed section of China's aid to Wapen Island Highway Phase I. Prime Minister Salvi and Minister of Youth and Sports, Netoune, and other political figures attended.

Ambassador Li said that the experience of Chinese path to modernization shows that "if you want to become rich, you should build roads first". The Pengdao Highway has been locally named the "Salvi Expressway", which will lead the local people out of poverty and towards prosperity. China will continue to follow the principle of "four full respects" and jointly promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Vanuatu to a new level.

During the visit, Ambassador Li and Prime Minister Salvi visited local grassroots communities together, enjoying the unique cultural characteristics of "land jumping", exchanging ideas with the public, and donating materials to the community.
